A Jay Shetty Wake-Up Call, Philly Pride, and Power Moments in the City of Brotherly Love
There are moments that flip the script in your mind. Not because they’re loud or flashy, but because they strike something deeper, something true. This week, that moment came courtesy of Jay Shetty.

A Perspective Shift from The Met

Some of our Philly team caught Jay Shetty live at The Met for his On Purpose podcast taping with Big Sean. And yes, the energy was electric. But what stopped us in our tracks was this one line:
“Our idea of ourselves isn't based on what we think of ourselves... or what others think of us… it’s based on what we think others think of us.”
It hits, right? Like a mirror shattering in slow motion. How many of us are walking around, weighed down by projections we made up in our heads?
Jay went on to say he dislikes the cliché advice to “just be yourself”—because most of us haven’t even met our real selves. We’ve just been reacting to the world’s feedback loop.
So here’s the shift:
“Don’t be yourself. Be who you want to be.”
That’s it. That’s the freedom play. Decide who you want to be—bold, kind, driven, grounded—and live it. On purpose. Daily. Powerfully.

Community in Motion: Memorial Day in Bridesburg

As we carry this personal freedom into the world around us, we also ground ourselves in history and gratitude. This Monday, the neighborhood of Bridesburg will once again host one of Philly’s oldest Memorial Day Parades. It’s not just a march—it’s a living tribute. Since 1946, neighbors have lined the streets to honor those who gave everything for our freedom. If you’re local, show up. Celebrate. Remember. Community matters.

Philly on the Global Stage: FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Next year, Philadelphia takes center stage in global sports. Starting June 16, the FIFA Club World Cup kicks off at Lincoln Financial Field, bringing world-class soccer talent from Europe, South America, and beyond right to our backyard.

We’re not just hosting games. We’re hosting history.
Get ready for a cultural collision of passion, pride, and pure adrenaline. It’s more than sport—it’s identity, celebration, and connection on a global scale. This is a city built for moments like these.

Luxury Meets Legacy: Where to Dine in Style

If you’re in the mood to match that big-energy mindset with a power dinner, here are two Philly spots you’ve got to hit:
  • Barclay Prime (Rittenhouse Square) – Think Wagyu cheesesteak with foie gras and a half-bottle of champagne. It’s indulgent, elevated, and unforgettable. Ideal for client dinners or making a bold impression.
  • Vernick Fish (Logan Square) – Inside the Four Seasons, this modern seafood temple by Chef Greg Vernick delivers pristine raw bar bites, thoughtful small plates, and cocktails that taste like art. It’s business casual meets date-night divine.

Closing Thought: Show Up Like It Matters, Because It Does

Whether you’re reframing your identity, honoring the past, or watching global greatness unfold on your city’s stage—do it with intention. That’s what we’re about at SERHANT. Philly. And that’s what this city, this moment, and your story deserve.
Don’t just be. Become.
